Chapter 44

The last three mages call up a huge golem, but Jinwoo cuts down the casters and destroys their construct in short order. Catching his breath, he gets a system notice that he held out for four and a half hours, which marks the job change quest as complete. Weighing his solo combat style, the System decides the class that fits him best is necromancer, a job able to raise a shadow army.

Thrown by the prospect of becoming a magic user after fighting like an assassin, Jinwoo's first instinct is to turn the offer down. The System then flags necromancer as a hidden class and asks him to confirm the rejection. Pacing the throne room, he reconsiders, noting that the casters he just beat wielded much the same powers and that no longer leveling alone would be a major edge. He ultimately takes the necromancer job change, and the System signals it has still more in store for him.

This Job Change Arc chapter, set in the Job Change Quest Dungeon, was adapted as part of Episode 12. It is the pivotal moment that defines Jinwoo's powers for the rest of the series, granting him the necromancer hidden class and the foundation of his shadow army. It is collected in Volume 3.
