Absolute Being

The deity who originated the entire cosmic conflict of Solo Leveling, the Absolute Being shaped both the Monarchs and the Rulers from the raw light and dark of creation. His detached cruelty toward those creations eventually cost him his life.

Adam White

A smooth-talking recruiter for the American government, Adam White headed the Asian Branch of the Federal Bureau of Hunters. His repeated efforts to bring Sung Jinwoo into America's fold made him a recurring fixture in the run-up to the Final Battle.

Ahn Sangmin

As department chief for management under the 2nd Division at White Tiger, Ahn Sangmin uses a famously sharp eye for talent. He becomes the first person outside Jinwoo's circle to figure out the rookie was masking power far above his listed rank.

Akari Shimizu

Draw Sword sent Akari Shimizu, a Japanese S-Rank healer, into the catastrophic fourth raid on Jeju Island. Money-minded and flirtatious toward a teammate she fancied, she met her end under the Ant King's strike before she could speak her heart.

Ali Hassan

A B-rank Hunter who climbed from the slums of Imphal to lead its guild, Ali Hassan surfaces during the Asura Guild Arc of Solo Leveling: Ragnarok. Witnessing Sung Suho's power firsthand reshapes his loyalties entirely.

Ammut

Sealed for ages inside an enormous pyramid, Ammut surfaces in Solo Leveling: Ragnarok as a crocodile-headed brute bound to Tarnak, the Iron Body Monarch. Sung Suho frees him, and in time the beast seizes the throne over every monstrous humanoid, taking up the mantle of the Monarch of Trials.

Antares

Bearing the titles King of Dragons and Monarch of Destruction, Antares is the eldest and mightiest of the nine Monarchs and the final foe of the Solo Leveling webtoon. His rampage across the human world drags Sung Jinwoo into a clash spanning several timelines.

Ant King

Concealed inside an S-Rank gate on Jeju Island as its true boss, the Ant King counts among the series' deadliest monsters, claiming over half the S-Rank Hunters during the fourth raid. Defeated at last, he is revived by Sung Jinwoo as the shadow soldier Beru.

Ant Queen

Mother of the Ant King and ruler of Jeju Island's colony, the Ant Queen served as the boss of the island's S-Rank Gate. Her death triggered her son's rampage, and her later attempt at shadow extraction proved a failure.

Arsha

Bearing the titles Queen of Insects and Monarch of the Void, Arsha is a future Monarch introduced in Solo Leveling: Ragnarok. Querehsha picked her as a successor, and she conceals her true strength behind a nightclub owner's front and a persuasive tongue.

Ashborn

King of the Dead and Monarch of Shadows, Ashborn carries the title Greatest Fragment of Brilliant Light, ranking as the mightiest being of his kind. Worn down by a war without end, he finally surrenders both his goals and his power to Sung Jinwoo.

Atsushi Kumamoto

Fielded by Draw Sword as a Japanese S-Rank Hunter, Atsushi Kumamoto joined the fourth Jeju Island Raid. Capable enough to clear B-Rank gates by himself, he is held back by cowardice and a frenzied state that grips him whenever he takes injury.

Baek Miho

Within the White Tiger Guild, the post of Vice-Guild Master belongs to Miho, an A-Ranker out of Korea whose father, Baek Yoonho, runs the same outfit. Frontline muscle and quiet intelligence work both fall to her.

Baek Yoonho

Heading the White Tiger Guild is Baek Yoonho, an S-Ranker from Korea who built the guild after splitting off from another. He counts among the nation's strongest hunters, though his raw power runs modest for his tier.

Bae Yoon-Suk

Bae Yoon-Suk runs the Mining Team inside the Hunters Guild, the squad Sung Jinwoo quietly joins for quick money. Easygoing and indifferent to rank, he becomes the first boss to recognize Jinwoo's value on the job.

Baran

As King of Demons and Monarch of White Flames, Baran ranked among the nine Monarchs. Acting on Antares's order he turned on Ashborn, paid for it with his life, and was later cloned to hold the Demon Castle's final floor.

Baruka

Baruka led the Ice Elves and ruled as the S-Rank boss of the Red Gate Dungeon. Cunning enough to spot that Jinwoo was not fully human, he was felled only by the combined assault of Jinwoo's strongest shadows.

Blood-Red Commander Igris

Guarding the Job Change Quest Dungeon's boss room, Blood-Red Commander Igris fell to Sung Jinwoo and rose again as a shadow soldier renamed Igris. He had secretly been a lieutenant from Ashborn's old army, planted to test the successor.

Brocky

Tasked by Rakan with guarding his bloodline, Brocky also ruled the Gwanak Mountain Dungeon and led the Hyena Guild. Brainwashing twisted him into a tyrant; Sung Suho killed him, then later raised him as a shadow soldier.

Cerberus

Cerberus served as the gatekeeper of the Demon Castle and stood as its very first boss. An A-Rank magic beast shaped like an enormous three-headed hound, he overpowered Sung Jinwoo when they clashed and dropped valuable items upon his defeat.

Cha Hae-In

A Korean S-Ranker who serves as the Hunters Guild's second-in-command, Cha Hae-In earned the nickname The Dancer for her flowing swordwork. Sung Jinwoo eventually becomes her husband, and the two have a son, Sung Suho.

Choi Hasul

An S-Ranker who turned villain after awakening and fleeing the South for North Korea, Choi Hasul is known in Last Paradise as the Harvester and the Shadow of Paradise. She works as a spy and fights with a giant scythe.

Choi Jong-In

Choi Jong-In, nicknamed The Ultimate Soldier, leads the Hunters Guild as its Master and ranks among Korea's S-Rank Hunters. No mage-class Hunter in the country wields fire as devastatingly as he does in battle.

Choi Yoora

Choi Yoora is a hospital nurse who tends to Sung Jinwoo during his recovery from the wounds he suffered in the Double Dungeon disaster at the Cartenon Temple. Her brief role centers on her shy interest in him as a patient.

Cho Kyuhwan

A C-Rank fire mage among the Lizards in Hwang Dongsuk's raid party, Cho Kyuhwan joined a greed-fueled scheme to murder Sung Jinwoo for profit inside a sealed dungeon. Jinwoo cut him down with the rest of the rogue group.

Christopher Reed

Christopher Reed stands among America's two mightiest hunters and ranks third worldwide as one of the five National Level Hunters. A Ruler's vessel wielding fire, he meets his end ambushed by three Monarchs after dismissing a seer's warning.

David Brennon

David Brennon heads the Federal Bureau of Hunters and spends much of the story scheming to recruit Sung Jinwoo for the United States. A shrewd patriot who lost his daughter to a dungeon break, he later rises to the American presidency.

Derek Johson

Derek Johson is an American A-Rank Hunter affiliated with the Scavenger Guild, appearing during the Glacier Dungeon expedition where Sung Suho's hidden depth catches him off guard.

Esil Radiru

Esil Radiru, a demon noble and the Radiru Clan's eldest princess, later rises to become the Monarch of Gluttony. Though demonic, her youthful, almost human look stands out, and she crosses paths with Jinwoo inside the Demon Castle.

Gerald

Gerald is an American B-Rank Hunter and Tanker serving the Scavenger Guild. He appears during the Pyramid Arc, where he tries to bar Sung Suho and Esil Radiru from entering the Pyramid Dungeon.

Gina

Gina is a Korean A-Rank Hunter and Mage of the Hunters Guild who fights with telekinesis. She joins the guild's strike team during the Hunters Guild Gate raid, where Sung Jinwoo covertly turns the tide against the High Orcs.

Go Gunhee

Go Gunhee is a Korean S-Rank Hunter and Chairman of the Korean Hunters Association. Once the nation's strongest hunter and a Ruler's vessel, age forced his retirement into leadership, and he becomes a trusted mentor figure to Sung Jinwoo before dying at Sillad's hand.

Go Myung-Hwan

Go Myung-Hwan is a Korean C-Rank Hunter and Martial Artist with the White Tiger Guild. One of the few survivors of the Red Gate Incident, he is known for his honesty in recounting what truly happened there.

Goo Juntae

Goo Juntae is a Korean D-Rank Hunter and member of Hwang Dongsuk's predatory strike squad. He holds the grim distinction of being the very first person Sung Jinwoo ever kills.

Goto Ryuji

Goto Ryuji is Japan's strongest hunter and Guild Master of the Draw Sword Guild. Behind a polite facade he masterminds a plot to lead Korea's S-Ranks to their deaths, and his own arrogance ultimately costs him his life against the Ant King.

Gray

Gray descends from Rakan, the Beast Monarch, and in time takes up his ancestor's mantle as Monarch of the Hunt. The first Monarch heir to side with Sung Suho, he begins as a frail pup before rising into a true King of Beasts.

Groctar

Groctar leads the Red Blade Tribe as its chieftain, a powerful A-Rank orc warlord whose mind is corrupted by an essence stone lodged in his body. His thirst to slaughter humans defines him until he confronts Sung Jinwoo.

Hanekawa

Hanekawa is a Japanese A-Rank Hunter of the Draw Sword Guild who also works as a translator for the Japanese Hunters Association. A speed-reliant fighter, her disdain for weaker opponents costs her a sparring loss to Park Jongsoo.

Han Jaehyuk

In the revised timeline, Han Jaehyuk serves as a C-Rank tanker and Surveillance Team inspector for the Korean Hunters Association. Honored simply to wear the badge, he repeatedly crosses paths with Sung Suho while chasing the Stardust trade.

Han Semi

Han Semi is a Korean A-Rank healer attached to Strike Squad B of the Hunters Guild. Raised to look after four younger brothers, she became a Hunter chasing answers about her vanished parents.

Han Song-Yi

Han Song-Yi, an E-Rank Hunter from Korea, is one of Jinah's close friends. Once drawn into hunting for easy money, she later steps away from the work after a brush with death and returns to finishing her education.

Harmakan

Within the Demonic Spectre Clan, Harmakan held the rank of Grand Shaman. An ominous being who fed on the despair of corrupted souls, the Jisan Prison Break Arc casts him as its central villain before he falls to Suho.

Hunters

Hunters are humans endowed with magical power who fight magic beasts and clear dungeons. Being the only ones capable of slaying beasts and closing gates, they prop up a worldwide industry and hold elite standing in society.

Hwang Dongsoo

Hwang Dongsoo, an S-Rank Hunter of Korean-American background, fought for the Scavenger Guild and counted Hwang Dongsuk as his elder brother. Vengeance for his brother's death drove him to hunt Jinwoo, who ultimately killed him.

Hwang Dongsuk

Hwang Dongsuk, elder brother to Hwang Dongsoo, was a lizard. A C-Rank Tanker, he headed a rogue raid team whose betrayal of Jinwoo brought about his death and later lured his vengeful younger brother across to Korea.

Hyeonmoo Gang

Hyeonmoo Gang is a Korean S-Rank Hunter who founded and leads the Black Tortoise Guild. Crafty and contract-bound, he spends much of the Ragnarok story trying to recruit Sung Suho and repair ties with Ahjin Soft.

Hyun Kichul

Within the White Tiger Guild, Hyun Kichul holds the title of deputy manager. He is assigned to the Management Department of the 2nd Division, and he also works as the personal assistant to Ahn Sangmin, a human civilian employed by the guild in Korea.

Ippei Izawa

An S-Rank Hunter out of Japan, Ippei Izawa fought as an Assassin for the Draw Sword Guild. Quiet and dry-humored, he joined the team assembled to raid Jeju Island before the Ant King killed him during that operation in its fourth attempt.

Itarim of Dimension-1

The Itarim of Dimension-1 is a placeholder name given to one of the Outer Gods, the divine architect behind Outer Universe Dimension-1. Ancient beyond reckoning, this entity sets its sights on the godless universe that holds Earth, igniting a cosmic conflict.

Jackson

Jackson is a C-Rank Hunter from India who once belonged to the Asura Guild. Though his combat output was modest, his real value lay behind the wheel, hauling cargo through field-type dungeons with skill few could match.
