Chain Destructo Disc

The Chain Destructo Disc takes Krillin's already lethal Destructo Disc and multiplies it. Rather than charging and throwing a single energy disc, Krillin generates and launches several discs in quick succession, creating a barrage of spinning razor-edged projectiles that converge on the target from multiple angles. The sheer volume of discs makes evasion far more difficult than dodging a single throw.

Each individual disc retains the Destructo Disc's signature cutting ability, capable of slicing through opponents far more powerful than the user. The technique compensates for the original's primary weakness: that a single disc can be sidestepped. With multiple discs closing in simultaneously, even fast opponents are forced to make split-second decisions about which projectile to avoid.

Krillin unleashes this technique during the desperate battle against Frieza on Namek. Facing the tyrant in his second form, Krillin fires a volley of Destructo Discs in an attempt to deal meaningful damage. The barrage manages to slice off Frieza's tail, proving that even against an overwhelmingly powerful opponent, the cutting properties of the technique can find their mark.

The moment is a perfect encapsulation of Krillin's fighting philosophy: he knows he cannot match Frieza's power level, so he relies on technique and creativity. The Destructo Disc family of attacks is one of the few things in his arsenal that scales regardless of the enemy's strength, and the chain variant maximizes his chances of landing at least one hit.

The Chain Destructo Disc represents an important step in the evolution of Krillin's signature technique. Starting from the basic single disc he debuted against Nappa in the Saiyan Saga, Krillin continuously refined and expanded the Destructo Disc throughout the series. The chain version added volume, later developments added homing capabilities (inspired by Frieza's Death Saucer), and in the Tournament of Power era, the Destructo Disc Triple Blade introduced discs that split apart mid-flight.

This progression reflects Krillin's character arc as a martial artist. He cannot keep up with the Saiyans' ever-escalating power levels, so he compensates through technical mastery and innovation, turning a single good idea into an entire family of techniques.
