Summary

Flung across the throne room and into a pillar, Jinwoo finds himself ringed by countless knights and stranded without his Teleportation Stone. Drained, out of mana, and running on fumes, he fights on with nothing but his fists, refusing to quit no matter how hopeless it looks. The old label of being mankind's weakest hunter gnaws at him as the jeering voices of former teammates ring in his ears. Distracted, he is driven to his knees by a sword and a hammer landing together.

Key Events

His stamina bleeds away, sweat soaks him, and his hands are slashed and raw, yet each fallen knight is simply replaced by another. The mockery he hears belongs to Kim Sangshik and Park Beom-Shik, so vivid that he momentarily searches for them before the blows knock him down. Then a soft voice and a hand on his back arrive: Song Chi-Yul, gently telling him he need not keep pushing himself. Lee Joohee appears too, suggesting he might as well give up. Finally a cold, accusing voice freezes him in place, his own from when he was the weakest, an apparition that mocks his struggle and, smiling cruelly, tempts him to abandon the fight altogether.
