Taeshik reveals a Stealth ability and a healer's shock at Jinwoo's own combat-plus-healing skillset, but Jinwoo blinds him with Murderous Intent and drives his poisoned blade through the assassin's heart.
Jinwoo triggers his speed buff and opens a cut on Taeshik's cheek with his poison-laced blade. They trade a flurry of blows until Taeshik vanishes outright. Invisible now, he keeps attacking, and Jinwoo can barely fend him off. This is Taeshik's hidden Stealth skill, possessed by only a handful of elite assassin hunters, and he slices Jinwoo's ankle to pin him in place.
Jinwoo instantly mends the cut with Full Recovery, rattling Taeshik, who has never met a combat hunter who can also heal. Realizing Jinwoo is a killer like himself, Taeshik lets that slip, and Song and Joohee gasp; Song understands the brutal choices Jinwoo has faced in so little time. Jinwoo then activates Murderous Intent, briefly blinding Taeshik, and seizes the opening to bury his blade in the assassin's heart.
Part of the Dungeon and Prisoners Arc and adapted in Episode 9. The chapter features Sung Jinwoo, Kang Taeshik, Song Chi-Yul, and Lee Joohee, and ends the duel decisively in Jinwoo's favor.
