Chapter 27

Jinwoo throws every skill and bonus he has at the enormous guardian, yet barely dents it. Cerberus bites off his arm and enters a Rage state that doubles its strength for three minutes. He answers with Full Recovery and a healing potion, still not enough, then deploys Kasaka's Venom Gland as an attack buff he is already immune to. Once the Rage runs out, his blows finally land. Caught in the beast's jaws and nearly out of health, he keeps stabbing until it collapses. Leveling up mends his wounds and earns him a castle key plus the recipe for the Elixir of Life, whose ingredients wait deeper inside the Demon King's Castle. Meanwhile, Taeshik meets a broken man in a shadowy office who recounts how three hunters assaulted his daughter, driving her to suicide and hospitalizing his wife from the grief. The man offers three billion won to kill the prisoners, distrusting a justice system that would free them for their raid service.

Jinwoo defeats Cerberus through Full Recovery, a healing potion, and the venom buff once Rage expires. His level-up rewards include a castle key and the Elixir of Life recipe, sending him toward the Demon King's Castle. A vengeful father commissions Taeshik to assassinate the convict hunters for roughly 2.4 million USD.
