Chapter 10

With Kim Sangshik already fled, only Jin-Woo, Joohee, and Song Chi-Yul remain inside the Altar chamber, and despair settles in as they accept that not all of them can survive. After a heated exchange, Song knocks Joohee out and carries her toward safety before the time runs short, the only workable choice given that neither she nor Jin-Woo can walk unaided.

Left alone, Jin-Woo takes up Kim Sangshik's sword for a last stand against the living statues. As the stone figures overwhelm him, fragments of his life flash through his mind and he understands that he does not want to die. Just as an enormous blade swings down to split him, a floating screen materializes and declares that he qualifies to receive a hidden quest titled Weakling's Valor.

It warns that his heart will halt within a fraction of a second should he refuse, so Jin-Woo agrees at once and is met with a welcome message. In what could be a near-death haze, he then sees a sudden flash and six standing silhouettes before blacking out.

Song Chi-Yul renders Joohee unconscious and escapes with her, leaving Jin-Woo behind in the Altar chamber. Facing certain death against the living statues, Jin-Woo is offered the System's hidden Weakling's Valor quest, which threatens to halt his heartbeat should he turn it down. He accepts, marking his first contact with the System, and passes out after seeing six shadowy figures.

Chapter 10 of the Solo Leveling webtoon, authored by Chu-Gong with art by Dubu, was published on March 5, 2018. It belongs to the D-Rank Dungeon Arc, spans fifty-six pages, and aligns with the second anime episode. It follows Chapter 9 and leads into Chapter 11.
