Personality

Warmth toward her child sat at the center of who Eris was. Even as the danger on God Valley closed in, she soothed Teach and promised him that things would turn out fine, and when the family was paraded before the World Nobles she threw herself in front of him to take the blows. She prized self-reliance, telling Rocks she had no use for clinging to a man in a crisis, a streak of independence that was apparently what won his heart in the first place. Membership in the Davy Family filled her with pride even when it endangered her, and she poured everything into making certain the bloodline did not die with her by guaranteeing Teach's survival. She stood firmly behind her husband's ambitions throughout.

History

Roughly forty years before the present, Eris crossed paths with Rocks D. Xebec, married him, and bore his son Teach. Fearing for their safety because of his Davy Family ties, Rocks settled the two on God Valley, certain the World Government would never find them there. That hope collapsed when Figarland Garling exposed the family's presence, drawing the full weight of the government down on the island for the World Nobles' Native Hunting Competition. Captured along with the rest of the Davy Family, Eris reassured Teach while pressing on him that he had to survive and escape. The prisoners were then presented as game to be hunted, and the enraged nobles began hurling weapons before the sport even started, forcing her to shield her boy.

When pirate crews including Rocks' arrived, Eris, Teach, and a handful of others slipped away. Rocks found them, but so did the Knights of God, who had begun turning Davy Family members into demons. Knowing he could not fight at full power while guarding them, Eris insisted he let her go, reminding him she was no helpless damsel and shoving herself free, vowing she and Teach would reunite with him on Lulusia. The arrival of Imu shattered everything; Rocks was captured and transformed into a demon, then sicced upon his own wife and child. Horrified and blaming herself, Eris chose to flee by swimming away to save the bloodline at any cost, only for Marine ships along the coast to fire on her. As cannonballs and the demonic Rocks nearly reached them, a young Bartholomew Kuma used his power to push Eris and Teach clear of God Valley to parts unknown. She died sometime after, since Teach was raised as an orphan.
