Nature and Power

The Tree of Might, known as the "Divine Spiritual Tree" in Japanese, is a colossal plant that requires a planet's entire life energy to bear fruit. Once its seed is planted on a world with a suitable atmosphere, the tree's roots spread across the entire planet, draining every living thing of its energy to fuel the fruit's growth. The process kills the host planet, leaving it a barren husk.

Despite its devastating effects, the Tree of Might is not inherently evil. It is a natural cosmic entity that simply requires enormous amounts of energy to function. King Kai noted that the tree's fruit was intended exclusively for divine beings such as the Kais and Eternal Dragons. When a mortal consumes the fruit, they receive a tremendous power boost far beyond what normal training could achieve.

In the film Dragon Ball Z: The Tree of Might, the Saiyan warrior Turles and his Crusher Corps planted the tree on Earth. Turles repeatedly ate its fruit to increase his power, growing strong enough to challenge Goku. The tree was ultimately destroyed when Goku absorbed its energy into a Spirit Bomb and directed it at Turles. The tree's extract was also shown to have the ability to revive long-dead organisms, as Turles used it to bring back members of the ancient Beenz people.
