Summary

Through the lingering smoke, the crew watches Luffy and Usopp trade their last blows. The two strike together, and Usopp turns Luffy's assault back on him with an Impact Dial. Stunned that his captain still stands, an exhausted Usopp locks eyes with him, both recalling the day they painted the crew's flag together. Luffy then lands the decisive hit, and Usopp crumples, fully beaten.

While the others look on in anguish, Luffy crosses toward the ship and tells the fallen sniper that the Going Merry is now his, since the crew will find a new vessel. He bids his friend farewell, his thoughts drifting over all the good times they shared. A grieving Chopper tries to examine the wounds, only for Sanji to stop him.

Notes

The chapter belongs to the Water 7 Arc. Its cover advances the ongoing Gedatsu side serial, where the gushing hot spring draws out a giant baboon known as the Forest Boss, which then bears down on Goro and Gedatsu.
