Saint Rosward Rosward

An aging man, Rosward keeps the upward-curling hair traditional to Celestial Dragons, paired with a curly black mustache and a soft gray beard. He sports black sunglasses, which shattered when Usopp tumbled onto him. Beyond the standard thick white suit and air bubble of his caste, his outfit adds a heavy white cape with real medals beside the usual knobs. He leans on a walking cane that conceals a rifle, and around Mary Geoise he is seen toting a mallet.

Presented as the most level-headed of his family, Rosward scolds his children for their excesses, though he does so flatly, less out of real disapproval than to preserve the family's image, and his own elitism runs even deeper than theirs. He takes immense pride in his lineage and keeps a so-called Pirate Captain collection of slaves, delighting in tormenting an enslaved Bartholomew Kuma whom he prized for being unable to cry out. His belief in his untouchable status blinds him to obvious danger; rather than fearing the man who had just sent his son flying, he reacted only with rage. He also despises any Celestial Dragon who dishonors their bloodline, holding particular contempt for the Donquixote Family.

As a World Noble, Rosward enjoys total legal impunity and enormous wealth, yet has no fighting ability of his own. He first appears looking down on a runaway slave before his daughter shoots the man without remorse, and later visits the Human Auctioning House, displeased when Charlos bids five hundred million Berries on Camie. When Luffy struck Charlos, Rosward whipped out his cane-rifle and fired wildly until Sanji kicked the weapon away and a falling Usopp knocked him out cold, after which he bellowed for an admiral. At the Levely he reunited with Charlos at the Celestial Dragon Gate, gloating over the abuse he could inflict on his rented invincible slave, then complimented his son's renewed attempt to enslave Shirahoshi before panicking as Sai and Leo battered Charlos to free her.
