History

Years earlier a plague known as the Dark Cloud tears through Akari's village, leaving only her and her brother Kagari alive. Boro approaches the pair and lures them into his cult with false promises, and before long Kagari is picked to commune directly with the gods. Akari keeps receiving her brother's letters until they abruptly stop, and for three years she is left in the dark about what became of him. When Konohamaru Sarutobi and Sai reach Boro's base during the Kawaki Arc, she guides them inside; questioned about Kagari, she begins to fret, and in the auditorium the data file Konohamaru holds finally reveals that her brother is dead, a truth that shatters her just before Delta's attack disintegrates the surrounding area.
