A stout, round-bodied alien species that served as elite soldiers in Frieza's army. The brothers Abo and Kado are the most prominent members, possessing the rare ability to merge their bodies into the powerful composite warrior Aka.

Alien

A broad classification encompassing numerous intelligent extraterrestrial species encountered throughout the Dragon Ball universe. From Frieza Force grunts to Tournament of Power competitors, aliens of every shape and size populate the cosmos.

Alpha-seijin

Green, reptilian aliens from Planet Alpha who were wiped out by Kid Buu during his rampage across the universe. Armed with ray guns and advanced cities, they still stood no chance against the ancient Majin.

Android

Artificial humans created primarily by the Red Ribbon Army scientist Dr. Gero. Ranging from purely mechanical robots to cybernetically enhanced humans to bio-engineered lifeforms, the Androids have produced some of Dragon Ball's most iconic villains and, eventually, two of its most beloved heroes.

Angel

The most powerful beings in the Dragon Ball multiverse, Angels serve as attendants and teachers to the Gods of Destruction. All are children of the Grand Minister, exist in a permanent state of Ultra Instinct, and operate under strict laws of neutrality that carry the penalty of total erasure.

Animal

Anthropomorphic animals are a defining feature of Dragon Ball's world. Walking, talking animals hold jobs, run governments, and live alongside humans as equal citizens, with the King of Earth himself being a blue dog.

Ankoku-seijin

Demon beasts from Planet Ankoku, a world of total darkness in the deepest corner of the universe. The Ankoku-seijin feed on light energy and possess retractable arm blades, making them dangerous predators. Yakon, servant of Babidi, is the most well-known member.

Appule's Race

Octopus-like humanoid aliens with varied skin colors who serve throughout the Frieza Force. Named after the mid-ranking soldier Appule, this species appears frequently as foot soldiers across multiple eras of the galactic empire.

Arcosian

The Arcosians are the species responsible for supplying the Saiyans with advanced technology, including the iconic battle armor used throughout the Frieza Force. Hailing from the planet Arcose, they traded technology for planetary conquest.

Arlian

Insectoid aliens from the planet Arlia who lived under the tyranny of King Moai. Vegeta and Nappa briefly liberated them during a stopover on their way to Earth, only to destroy the entire planet moments later.

Babarian

Bipedal dinosaur creatures from Universe 10's Planet Babari. Their violent, primitive nature became the catalyst for Zamasu's growing contempt toward mortal life, setting in motion the most dangerous theological crisis in Dragon Ball Super.

Beenz

An extinct race of ultra-intelligent, diminutive aliens from Planet Beenz. The only known members, the brothers Rasin and Lakasei, were resurrected from fossils by Turles using the power of the Tree of Might.

Beerus' Race

The unnamed species of the God of Destruction Beerus, these purple feline humanoids resemble hairless Sphynx cats and hold positions among the most powerful beings in the multiverse. Beerus and his twin brother Champa are the only confirmed members in the main series.

Bio-Android

Artificial life forms constructed through biological engineering rather than mechanical assembly. Cell, Dr. Gero's ultimate creation grown from the cells of the universe's greatest warriors, is the original Bio-Android. The classification later expanded to include Cell's offspring and clones.

Bio-Warrior

Biologically engineered combat creatures created by human scientists. Two distinct groups of Bio-Warriors appear in Dragon Ball films: Dr. Wheelo's trio of elite fighters and the culture-fluid clones from the Bio-Broly movie.

Burter's Race

Tall reptilian humanoids of varying skin colors who serve in the Frieza Force. Burter, the self-proclaimed "Fastest in the Universe" and member of the Ginyu Force, is the most notable member of this unnamed species.

Fish-like humanoid aliens who have served the Frieza Clan since the era of Chilled, making them among the oldest documented members of the galactic empire. Cabira, a henchman of the ancient space pirate Chilled, is the species' namesake.

Cerealian

A near-human species with green hair and evolved right eyes granting extraordinary visual acuity. The Cerealians were nearly wiped out by the Saiyan Army under Frieza's orders. Granolah, the sole survivor, became the strongest mortal in Universe 7 through a desperate wish on the Dragon Balls.

Cranberry's Race

Humanoid aliens distinguished by their distinctive blowout hairdos in various colors. This species served the Frieza Force in roles from foot soldiers to medics and engineers. Cranberry, who later assisted the escaped prisoner Moro, is the most narratively significant member.

Dodoria's Race

Dodoria's Race is the unnamed alien species to which Dodoria, one of Frieza's top lieutenants, belongs. Don Don Bird

Don Don Birds are large, flightless avian creatures native to Earth in the Dragon Ball universe. They resemble oversized ostriches and appear primarily in the early Dragon Ball series, most notably as wild animals encountered in the wilderness during Goku's childhood adventures.

Dorakiyan

Dragon

Dragons are a rare but significant species in the Dragon Ball universe, existing on Earth, Gaspa, the Demon Realm, and other worlds. They range from ordinary winged reptilian creatures like Icarus to the awe-inspiring Eternal Dragons created from the Dragon Balls. The Dragon God Zalama sits at the apex of their kind.

Earthling

Earthlings are the inhabitants of planet Earth in the Dragon Ball universe, encompassing not just humans but also anthropomorphic animals and monster-type beings. Though statistically among the weakest races in the cosmos, with average power levels in the single digits, a small handful of Earthling martial artists have pushed their bodies to extraordinary limits and played pivotal roles in defending the universe.

Eternal Dragon

Eternal Dragons are divine wish-granting beings summoned through sets of Dragon Balls. From the planet-spanning Shenron to the galaxy-sized Super Shenron, these creatures are central to the Dragon Ball franchise, serving as both narrative engines and symbols of the series' core theme: that extraordinary power comes with rules and consequences.

Fairy

Their appearances are rare and largely confined to the early, more fantasy-oriented portions of the original Dragon Ball.

Fire Demon

Fire Demons are a race of spectral, flame-based demons that appear in Dragon Ball Z: Attack of the Saiyans. They inhabit various locations on Earth and possess abilities including fire manipulation, possession, and great speed. Only three named members have been documented: Evil Flame, Demon Flame, and Furnace Flame.

Fishman

They possess fish-like characteristics such as scales, fins, and gills, combined with an upright bipedal frame. They appear throughout the series as background inhabitants of Dragon Ball's diverse world.

The Frieza Clan is a mysterious alien species whose most powerful members, King Cold and Frieza, are mutants of extraordinary strength and cruelty. Covered in white keratinous exoskeletons with colored gem plates, they ruled a galactic empire through the Planet Trade Organization. Their homeworld remains unknown, and their race's true name has never been revealed.

Frieza Soldier Race

The Frieza Soldier Race refers to the unnamed alien species that makes up the bulk of the Frieza Force's foot soldiers. Frog-Face's Race

Frog-Face's Race is an unnamed alien species that has served in the Frieza Force across multiple generations. Named after their most recognized member, these humanoid aliens possess cobra-like or dilophosaurus-shaped heads atop otherwise human-proportioned bodies. They are among the oldest known species in Frieza's galactic army.

Fu-Lum

Fu-Lums are humanoid monsters created from Lord Piccolo's blood and DNA in the live-action film Dragonball Evolution. They serve as the movie's equivalent of King Piccolo's Dark Vassals from the original manga, functioning as expendable minions spawned from the Namekian villain's genetic material.

Gelboian

Gelboians are the humanoid inhabitants of Planet Gelbo, an alien world visited during Dragon Ball GT. They closely resemble humans but possess distinctively large, pointed ears. Their peaceful civilization was terrorized by the giant catfish monster Zoonama until Goku, Pan, and Trunks intervened.

While most are relatively harmless, some possess enough power and cunning to serve as fighters in martial arts competitions.

One was encountered by General Blue during the Red Ribbon Army Saga and killed after its electricity proved ineffective against the superhuman officer.

Giant Fish

They appear throughout the series as a recurring element of Goku's daily life near Mount Paozu, where catching and eating them is a regular part of his routine from childhood through adulthood.
