The seventh anime chapter traps a former FBI investigator in a quiet game of names. Working against the clock, Light coaxes the alias-shielded Naomi Misora into surrendering her true identity, sealing her fate with the notebook moments before a colleague unknowingly passes them by.
Light writes the name Shoko Maki into the notebook, scripting a suicide meant to leave behind no troublesome body, yet the woman walks on unharmed. Recalling Ryuk's laughter when she first named herself, he realizes Penber's fiancee gave him a false identity and could still lead the police to him. As Ryuk presses him to trade for the eyes, Light works to draw the truth out of her by posing as one of L's people who can carry her information forward.
Elsewhere, L has at last shown his face to the task force, issuing each detective concealed devices that signal distress should Kira draw near, and arranging for someone to always staff their base. None of this reaches Light in time to help the woman he is steering.
Light intercepts her again near the station, warning that the Kira investigators cannot be met in person without inviting catastrophe. When she admits she once served under L and only hopes to speak with him, Light offers her a place on the team and asks for identification. She surrenders her license, and Naomi Misora's real name passes into his hands just as Aizawa walks past without registering either of them.
The notebook's conditions take hold, and Light tells her outright that he is Kira. Hollow-eyed and indifferent to reaching the police, she turns away to carry out the death written for her, while Light strolls off in the other direction, pleased with the narrow escape. The chapter is a tense two-hander built almost entirely on Light's improvised manipulation.

The transformation everyone knows, the follow-up question nobody would touch. Why we made a smooth R&B track about the golden glow Dragon Ball never talks about....

Five Bleach female characters, ranked and settled. Yoruichi sits at number five, the spot nobody expects, and our number one is an Arrancar with a soft heart....
