Calikarcha is a low-ranking Shinigami remembered chiefly for his bizarre design, which stands out even among the death gods. A fleeting background figure in Death Note, he is glimpsed scribbling in his Death Note during the opening episode and is noted for an odd fondness for blueberries.
Even by the loose standards of his own kind, Calikarcha looks peculiar. Eight eyes sit in two stacked rows on either side of his head, and his face carries a beaklike protrusion alongside a pair of short tusks that recall a mammoth. His frame is wrapped in armor whose shoulder pieces seem fashioned from bone and fur, and the markings inked across his arms resemble tribal symbols from the human world.
His tastes run simple and oddly specific. Calikarcha is partial to blueberries and has little patience for sunlight.
Calikarcha makes only a brief showing, glimpsed early in the story as he writes into his own notebook. His look was devised by illustrator Takeshi Obata, who drew on Balinese bird masks for the design. The Death Note he carries belongs to the same type once held by the Shinigami Gelus.

The transformation everyone knows, the follow-up question nobody would touch. Why we made a smooth R&B track about the golden glow Dragon Ball never talks about....

Five Bleach female characters, ranked and settled. Yoruichi sits at number five, the spot nobody expects, and our number one is an Arrancar with a soft heart....
