During the crab spirit's exorcism, Momo sees lost schoolgirls drift free. Seiko reveals the tunnel was the site of girls' killings, where Turbo Granny had comforted their spirits. The three honor the dead, then feast, and the next morning Momo waits for a hopeful Okarun at school.
Momo watches the crab spirit, fused with Turbo Granny, undergo exorcism, and notices several schoolgirls slipping free of it before they fade. With Turbo Granny defeated, she joins Okarun and her grandmother in revisiting the tunnel where the spirit crab once dwelled, all of them paying their respects. There Momo hears that the tunnel had once been the scene of several killings of local girls. Turbo Granny, she is told, had come there to comfort the trapped spirits who could not move on to the afterlife.
Momo, Okarun, and her grandmother return to the spirit crab's tunnel to honor the dead. Before they leave, Seiko walks Momo through the rules that let the living and the dead share one world, glad that the girl came away unharmed. The trio then celebrate beating the crab over dinner, which collapses into Momo and her grandmother squabbling over the food while Seiko needles Okarun about whether he has any genitals. Okarun heads home reassured, since Momo promises to meet him at school the next day.
The following morning at Kami High, Okarun frets over how to greet Momo, then is startled to spot her outside, certain she must be there for someone else. Instead she walks up and asks what took him so long. This chapter belongs to the Turbo Granny Arc within the Kintama Hunt Saga, printed in Volume 2 and released May 25, 2021. Its pages were adapted across Episode 4 and Episode 5 of the anime.
