Trailing by two and desperate to justify his spot, Isagi bets that uniting the feuding Rin and Shido is his path to relevance. With Nanase and Hiori threading passes around him, he begins to function, engineering an assist that turns Shido from rival into weapon.
With the score at four to two and Team B one goal from victory, Nanase steps between Rin and Shido to smother their brewing brawl. Shido threatens to kill Rin should he poach another of his goals, and Isagi reasons that forcing the two antagonists to cooperate could be the way to prove his own value.
On the restart Rin feeds Hiori, but Otoya shadows Rin while Karasu again denies Isagi. Nanase drifts over to help, confessing that Rin and Shido move on a plane he cannot read, yet he can picture Isagi's runs clearly. The three exchange passes until Isagi slides through Karasu's blind spot with the ball at his feet.
Boxed in by Chigiri and spotting Rin under Otoya's guard, Isagi watches Shido barge past Shiguma toward him. Expecting Shido to lay the ball back so he can finish, Isagi instead sees him spin and rifle a super-inverted drive shot into the net, pulling Team B within one. Shido crows that he is the deadliest creature in the box, but a stunned Nanase calls him a monster, and Isagi quietly thanks Nanase for the movement that set up the assist. Nanase, admitting Isagi is the only teammate whose play he can match, urges him to rely on him more.
When Karasu carries the ball forward at the next restart, he grumbles that Isagi has become a nuisance now that he is influencing the match. Rin shoves Isagi aside, warning that Karasu is beyond him, then taunts Karasu as a hyena who only preys on the weak and dares him to fight properly. Karasu brushes the challenge off with a joke about Rin's overbearing greed, and as he searches for Otoya, Isagi darts out of his blind spot to steal the ball clean.
