Sabres

The Sabres are the tactical arm among Wing Bind's eight divisions, the Reverse London agency charged with managing the dragons of the BURN THE WITCH setting. Led by their director Sullivan Squire, they are made up of witches and wizards who, like all Wing Bind agents, earned their place through a special exam and are rewarded with pay and achievement points. The division is represented by the zodiac sign Scorpio.

The Sabres take to the streets of London on patrol, guarding ordinary citizens from dragon attacks. When the far more dangerous Dark Dragon surfaces, the agency seals off the area and calls an emergency blockade, and it is the Sabres who are sent in to put the creature down. Because Wing Bind alone may lawfully handle dragons, with outsiders risking a century of imprisonment or execution, this frontline defense rests squarely on the tactical division's shoulders.

Sullivan Squire directs the division. Its ranks once included Billy Banx Jr., who was promoted into the Sabres after Noel Niihashi and Ninny Spangcole defeated Shelby, only to be demoted again later on account of his laziness, which left him a commanding officer among the Pipers instead.
